OMG Todd! Great post! I can guarantee you that both of my babies were well-loved and well-fed and well-obsessed-over, but neither were remotely that easy-going at that age. May I babysit?!?!?!?!

You make some very good points, but honestly… how am I supposed to look past Joey? You are the luckiest man ever. And I know you know how important your role as a Daddy is to your kids. You and your wife are building the most amazing legacy ever. Can you imagine what your holidays will be like 10 or 20 years from now? Okay, I want another baby lol.

whenever I have had “One of those days” and just need something to make me smile.. I will watch this…. I miss her and Jaiden already…

no worries Sis … an even better idea though … take some videos of your kids smiling and laughing … and watch those too!

Love you lots … give me a call any time you feel like you need to talk.

lol Heather … thank you so much for the compliments … but I think you might have missed that line where I mentioned that Yes, Joey definitely knows how to cry ;-)

As for parenting … I think we do “ok” now … I have had times (earlier) in my life where I can honestly say that I wasn’t a very good parent … I regret that … but I learned from it … and do better now. And even my oldest son, and my girls, are growing up to much more well adjusted than I might have expected (ok maybe even feared) based on all the ridiculous arguing they witnessed during my first marriage … so it’s all (well no, mostly) good.

As for babysitting … lol, come on down any time … but you gotta promise to bring Dennis, your own kids … and at least one original, 1st edition Heather Kephart picture book :-)

It’s your kids who are the Lucky ones … “my mommy writes books” is something they will be proud to tell all their friends.

lol, mine are stuck with dad and Dr. Seuss.
