Making Money With Adsense

I consider myself moderately successful when it comes to making extra money online. Marketing our candle business, and building sites that promote the eBay affiliate program via BANS and phpBay are the two things that have added the most money to my bank account over the past couple of years. However, even though I’ve done quite a bit of reading; and think I understand the concept; cashing big checks from Google Adsense is something I have yet to master.

So why am I writing a post about Adsense, when I’m quite obviously not qualified to teach what I don’t know?

I’m writing this post on the off chance anybody reading my blog doesn’t already follow Grizz … someone who definitely does know what he’s talking about. Anyhow, as luck would have it, Grizz has just started a new blog called, appropriately enough, Make Money with Adsense. Right now there are two posts on Grizz’s new blog. This looks like a great opportunity for those of us who are looking to finally crack the adsense code, to follow along with some step by step instruction; right from the beginning.

Grizz teaches people how to use free blogger blogs with adsense. However, being a wordpress kind of guy, I’m planning to use Grizzly’s advice as I build on a pre-owned domain that I just loaded up with the optimized the theme and plugins I got when I purchased Expert WordPress (I’m still exploring the many, many videos and software downloads; I intend to do an actual review post sometime in the next couple of weeks).

For those of you who are also comfortable with wordpress, but don’t want to pay any extra money for another program right now, Frank Carr just came out with an update of his Boring Memo wordpress theme that he has used to successfully earn cash online. It looks like a very interesting concept, and if I can find the extra time, I’d like to try his theme out too.

I hope you find this useful. Wouldn’t it be cool to revisit this post in 6 or 8 months, and be able to brag about our huge adsense checks?

What the heck, why talk about it? … let’s just do it.
