I’m a weather forecaster in the Air Force, who currently lives at Fort Hood Texas, with my wife Ana (who sells candles) and 5 of our kids. On those rare occasions when I have spare time, I enjoy photography, golf, poker, and spending entirely too much time in front of this silly box.

Interesting thought about helping to build lower ranking sites to help you in the future. One hand washes the other. I think it’s a nice gesture to tweet or stumble a post that gives you a little extra in terms of keyword or do follow

And all this time I thought you stumbled my duplicate content post because you liked it. ;) Only kidding Todd, I know it had to make enough of an impression on you to leave a comment in the first place and a stumble serves to help both our blogs. I’ve actually used this technique myself and apart from giving the blog added exposure it does the same for the commentator, who if they have left a good quality comment is bound to get a percentage of the incoming traffic.

It’s all cool mate. Say, I left a comment on your What’s good about this post, and it never appeared. Did your spam filter pick it up?

This is an interesting concept. I get it, but I am not sure I have the time to follow through. I am busy enough promoting my blogs I am not sure how much free time I have to promote other people’s blog. It does make sense and I will try to spread the love a little, maybe even for this post :)

Ok, you have just been DUGG! I like the strategy and the only reason not to do it is that it takes a little extra time. But I took the time time since your sharing the keyword LUV. Tom

    Hi Gennaro,

“one had washes the other” … that describes my thoughts on the subject exactly.

    Thanks,

    Hi Sire,

lol … no, I stumbled your post because I liked it … and also because of the good conversation/debate that is going on in Your comments section. I still have some integrity … I don’t intend to go around the blogosphere stumbling every single post I comment on.

… that being said, now that I wrote about why I think it’s a good idea, I will be paying more attention to making sure I stumble/tweet/digg/bookmark, etc,. more of the “good” posts that I read. Even with the buttons right there on my tool bar, I still forget to do it far too often.

    Hi Sire,

It’s should be there now … thanks for the link. I’m not even sure why, but right now it seems like about 90% of comments are flagged for moderation. My settings aren’t any different than they’ve been in the past, so I don’t quite understand it. That being said, with moderated comments, I have an easier time remembering to reply. :-)
