Does 41 Birthdays Make Me Old?
I was born on March 8th 1969. I've always thought that anyone who was born after men walked on the moon is still pretty young, so I guess I do just barely qualify as "old" ... lol, especially if you were to ask my teenage kids.

But I Need More Time
Wow, these 12 hour shifts are a "blast". It's not that the work is any harder than usual; in fact, I've been actually getting to forecast weather instead of just doing admin weenie stuff, so it's kind of fun. Well, since my Valentine is thousands of miles away, in a totally different country, February 14th is really just another day this year.
But even though we won't be together today, I can't help but to reflect on how fortunate I am to have found someone who holds the key to my rusty old heart.

Super Bowl Monday In Iraq
The Super Bowl party over here took place overnight, into very early Morning. If you wanted to see the game live, you had to stay up all night, and go to your unit's designated "party" area. Not The Goodyear Blimp
Since it's Super Bowl Sunday and all, I just couldn't help thinking that this scene reminded me of driving towards the stadium on the day of the big game. Only thing is, that's not the Goodyear blimp, and it's not taking pictures of a sporting event. Oh well, the imagination can be a wonderful thing sometimes.

How To Save Money Cutting Your Own Hair
Today was haircut day at the Morris CHU (compartmentalized housing unit). It's a regular event that happens about every 5-8 days; with the exact timing depending primarily on how many times in a row I forget to bring the clippers with me to the shower after PT.
